Hellyda's Method & Sessions
“The wound is the place where the light enters you.” – Rumi
Her Approach
Hellyda is a qualified Psychosynthesis counsellor with a special interest in childhood trauma and the existential crisis of purpose — that disorienting question of “why am I here, and what am I meant to do.” This isn’t an abstract specialism for her; it grew directly out of her own life. Her personal experience of unravelling and searching brought with it a need to understand and harmonise her own condition, and that inner journey slowly transformed into a purposeful path — one where her suffering gained meaning and could be held in a positive light.
That belief now sits at the heart of her practice: that great wisdom and beauty can come from suffering, when someone is willing to look closer at the difficult, painful, or even destructive aspects of their personality rather than turning away from them. Her role, as she sees it, is to be a guide for people who are ready to do that looking.
Central to her method is the creation of a safe space — one where a person can begin to identify and understand the many aspects of who they are. Psychosynthesis distinguishes itself here by not stopping at the subconscious. Hellyda works with clients on that level, but also on the superconscious realm — the territory of insight, inspiration, and aspiration. The aim isn’t only to process what’s buried, but also to open up toward what’s reaching to emerge. Together, the two directions are meant to create a more harmonious environment, both inwardly and in a person’s outer life.

Tools and Techniques
Within a session, Hellyda draws on a range of tools depending on what’s needed:
1. Guided meditations, used to access deeper states of awareness and connect with both subconscious material and superconscious insight
2. Somatic movement, bringing the body into the work rather than treating healing as a purely mental process
3. EFT (tapping), an approach used to work with emotional intensity and stress held in the body
4. References to numerology or astrology, offered as additional lenses of reflection and self-understanding where relevant
These aren’t used as a fixed formula — they’re drawn on as tools within a wider Psychosynthesis framework, chosen according to what each person and each session calls for.
How Sessions Work
Hellyda’s counselling work is offered entirely online, allowing her to support clients wherever they are.
The process begins with a free introductory session — a low-pressure opportunity for both Hellyda and the prospective client to sense whether the working relationship feels right, with no obligation to continue. If both sides choose to move forward, the work begins with a minimum commitment of six weekly sessions, each one hour long, held at the same day and time each week. This consistency is intentional: the kind of inner work Hellyda facilitates tends to unfold gradually, and a steady rhythm supports that process rather than treating it as a quick fix.
At the end of the initial six weeks, Hellyda and the client reassess together, deciding consciously whether to continue or bring the work to a close. Rather than being open-ended by default, the relationship moves forward in deliberate blocks, shaped by what’s actually being felt and needed at each stage.

In Her Clients' Words
The people Hellyda has worked with describe the process as being as demanding as it is transformative. One client, reflecting on a final session of the year, called the journey of healing and therapy hard to put into words — intensely painful, but also magical and powerful — and spoke of how much it meant to have someone present without judgement, offering love, tools, knowledge, and support, as well as the ability to point out growth that’s hard to see in oneself.
Another client described Hellyda as a guiding presence in their life, someone who created a space safe enough to laugh and cry in equally. A third spoke specifically to the Psychosynthesis sessions themselves, describing sessions that included ritual alongside the therapeutic work, and expressing deep gratitude for what had been worked through together.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Hellyda’s work doesn’t end at the edge of a session. Alongside her counselling and her ongoing presence in conscious modelling, she stays engaged in activism and supports projects working toward better conditions for people, animals, and the environment. For her, this isn’t separate from the therapeutic work — it’s an extension of the same underlying belief: that healing the self and healing the collective are connected, and that both matter, especially now.
